Rick Ueable and Ken Clark, co-owners of Foods 2000 Inc., have been part of the Partners In Action cause for years. They are both strongly committed to the children. Here's a quote from Rick: "I can remember the very first time I flew to Ethiopia. So naively, even at 48 years old, I arrived at the Addis Ababa airport thinking...we're going to fix this. As soon as we left the airport, we went up to the top of a high rise...which in Ethiopia is about twelve or thirteen stories high. We were looking down on one square block, in which I was informed there were 10,000 people living. I looked at that, and I wanted so badly to go back to the airport and get out of there because I know that I was in way over my head. That was a very humbling experience. At that moment, I was touched by God, who gave me the humbleness to realize that this can only be done one child at a time."
Match Grant Funds
Partners in Action has been given a generous Match Grant of $250,000.00. For any financial gift given to Partners in Action, the ministry will receive a matched gift - dollar for dollar - up to $250,000.00. The funds raised will be used entirely for the administration of the ministry as outlined in the Match Grant Report. This will continue the ongoing tradition of underwriting the ministry administration so that, of the contributions given to orphanages and related projects, 100% can continue to go to that work. In this interest, we have prepared an overview of our ministry to widows and orphans around the world. We respectfully request your prayerful consideration of becoming our partner, so together, we can feed, clothe, shelter, educate and provide healthcare to those widows and orphans who have no other hope for life and a future.Your timely response is needed. Around the world, a child dies from starvation every five seconds.
